Become a Member

Sarasota Area Playwrights Society will accept, for membership those who live within reasonable commuting distance from the Sarasota/Bradenton area and who are interested in developing playwriting skills. This would include those, who have already had experience in writing, or those, without prior experience, who intend to learn the craft and have the opportunity to have their efforts read in workshops and possibly in larger venues. We welcome those with other theater skills such as acting or directing, who would like to add playwriting to their resumes.

Anyone interested in becoming a member should submit a brief application by email, together with a very short description of the applicant's background related to the theater arts.

Once having been notified that the application is accepted, the new member will be expected to pay a $20. membership fee, which is an annual fee, payable upon acceptance and thereafter on October 1st each subsequent year.
